Exercise Physiology

At Family Agility we have accredited Exercise Physiologists with extensive clinical experience in the management and improvement of physiological functioning for children and young people. Our highly qualified team can assist with an exercise program specially tailored to your child.

All exercises prescribed by our Exercise Physiologists are designed to achieve your child's and your family's goals - and we always take a neurodiverse-affirmative approach to all of our therapy.

What is Exercise Physiology?

An Exercise Physiologist will 'prescribe interventions' (think of a custom program with related treatments) which are exercise-based and include health and physical activity education, advice and support and lifestyle modification with a strong focus on achieving behavioural change.

Exercise Physiologists can provide exercise interventions for cardiac, metabolic, musculoskeletal, respiratory and neurological conditions, mental health conditions and disabilities and manage the side effects of many intensive drug therapies. In fact, it's considered best practice for inclusion in cancer treatment. Read more in our blog.
